This dental teaching aid was used by students to practice drilling and filling teeth. Each student was required to purchase one of these. New teeth could be added by heating the red wax and inserting the new tooth into it. This aid has two fillings in the top plate and one in the bottom. There are three broken teeth in the bottom plate. This was done on purpose to teach the student how to add caps.
