Microbe Killer

2117-21 . . . In the 1870s, when germs were discovered, hospitals, doctors, and homeowners, created a demand for a disinfectant that would kill germs. The sterilizing agent was usually mixed with washed water and used around the home as well as in hospital. This stoneware crock is in excellent condition and a great example of early disinfecting product.
