The globe measures 16 inches in diameter and depicks a graphic representation of surface features, including relative positions and elevations. The paper is glued to a wooden globe. The frame is made from brass and steel. The height of the globe can be adjusted between 4 and 5 1/2 feet. The photo was taken with a refrigerator in the background to show size. This globe was made in Edinborough by W. & A. K. Johnston. The globe was sold by A. J. Nystrom & Co. of Chicago.
